Landmarks - Artists Jose Parla Amistad America art installation in Rowling Hall

"Amistad América," found in the atrium of Robert B. Rowling Hall in the McCombs School of Business

The Office of Campus Construction (OCC) cooperates with The University of Texas at Austin Landmarks public art program to add to an already extraordinary collection of public art that is viewed by thousands of people daily. Through this collaboration, public art is included in many new building projects on the campus.

Examples of Landmark public art incorporated into capital projects include these:

  • Eon, Welch Hall (WEL)
  • Circle with Towers, Gates Dell Computer Science Complex (GDC)
  • Clock Knot, Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Building (CPE)
  • (Forever Free) Ideas, Languages, and Conversations, Gordon-White Building (GWB)
  • Monochrome for Austin, Norman Hackerman Building (NHB)
  • Spiral of the Galaxy, Health Learning Building (HLB)
  • And That’s the Way It Is, Belo Center (CMA)
  • Amistad América, Robert B. Rowling Hall (RRH)
  • The Color Inside, William C. Powers, Jr. Student Activity Center (SAC)
  • ONEEVERYONE, Health Learning Building (HLB) and Health Discovery Building (HDB)
